Welcome to St Peter’s Church!

We are a community of Christians seeking to serve and love those around us. Our building is at the top of North Hill (where it meets the High Street). Our congregation is made up of people of various ages and stages, some of whom live in the parish and many of whom come from further afield. Other than that, of course, things continue to be a bit unusual at the moment.

Weekly Updates. Please click here for the most recent Update.

Garden Church. For the next few weeks, we won’t be meeting in the church building. Instead, we will be having Sunday services in the Vicarage Garden. Please see the recent Update for more information about these. Do come and join us, although to help us manage the numbers, which are restricted, it is essential to book your space. You can soon book via our website (under Service booking), or contact Bernice (572529 or [email protected]), but please book before 10:00am on the Friday before the service.

Morning Service Online. There will be an online service each Sunday on the Vicar’s YouTube channel and on FaceBook. These pre-recorded services can be accessed any time after 10:00am on Sundays, and can be viewed on YouTube and FaceBook. For the relevant service-sheet, click here.

Ascension Day.  Thursday 13th May is Ascension Day, as we particularly remember the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ into heaven (as recorded in Acts 1.1-11). There will be a short service available online for those who would like to take a few minutes to consider the awesome significance of the ascension to our Christian lives today. For the service-sheet, click here.
