Welcome to St Peter’s Church!

We are a community of Christians seeking to serve and love those around us. We are part of the Colchester Town Centre Parish, and our building is at the top of North Hill (where it meets the High Street). Our congregation is made up of people of various ages and stages, some of whom live in the parish and many of whom come from further afield. Other than that, of course, things continue to be a bit unusual at the moment.

Update. Please click here for the most recent Update (8th August).

‘Back to Church’ Questionnaire. Meanwhile, we are conducting a ‘Back to Church’ questionnaire, and would appreciate people’s perspectives and input. You can download the questionnaire in PDF format here, and in Word format here. The deadline for submissions is Sunday 23rd August.

Private Prayer. Although the church building is still closed for public worship, we are open for private prayer on Fridays, from 12 noon until 2pm.

Daily Hope offers music, prayers and reflections as well as full worship services from the Church of England at the end of a telephone line. The line — which is available 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044 — has been set up particularly with those unable to join online church services during the period of restrictions in mind.
  • Practical help is still being co-ordinated by Bernice Watts and Morvern Cox, who can be contacted by email on [email protected] or by telephone on 01206 866630.
